Cavalli Pizza

There are three things that make our pizza special: an authentic recipe, the freshest ingredients, and a commitment to excellence. Our recipe is quite literally defined in Italy as the perfect pizza. Nearly all of our ingredients are imported directly from Italy to provide you with true Italian flavor.

The ingredients, as well as the entire preparation process, are clearly defined by the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association (VPN). We have undergone a rigorous certification process and must adhere to incredibly strict standards in order to serve you an authentic Vera Pizza Napoletana. Only a handful of restaurants in the United States are certified to serve this delicious delicacy and we are proud to be the FIRST and ONLY establishment in the entire state of Texas to have this honor. Nearly all of our ingredients are imported directly from Italy to provide you with true Italian flavor. The ingredients, as well as the entire preparation process, are clearly defined by the VPN Association.

Authentic Italian Pizza
I had read about Cavalli's on another foodie website and went to see if it's as good as all the folks say - and it's even better than I expected. The chefs actually went to Naples to be trained and Cavalli's only uses authentic Italian ingredients. It's the next best thing to being there - Italy, that is. The pizzas are wood fired so they've got a hand tossed crust with a hint of smoke. The usual suspects at our house - pepperoni & mushroom and Margherita - tomato sauce, mozzarella - are outstanding. The pesto chicken pizza is out of this world. Inside it's a bit sterile but the pizza is the star at this Irving establishment.
